East Fern Ave.
East Fern is the high-rent district. There are no abandoned couches on this street and not even indoor furniture on porches — always a tacky look. American flags adorn many of the vintage houses. Yards are clean and well-manicured.
Prospect Park
Cruise up Cajon between the stately palm trees and past the cool old Craftsman houses and you wind up at Prospect Park. It’s one of my favorite places.
Olive Ave
The quarantine blues enveloped me, so I crossed the wash and headed for the old part of Redlands and parked on stately Orange Avenue. This is my favorite part of the city.
Social distancing with the fellas
I signed up for the walking portion and we set out at 3 p.m. into the neighborhood, which I immediately noticed did not include as many tattoo parlors and thrift stores as my old ‘hood down by the freeway.
